SAYANG SINGAPURA
SAYANG SINGAPURA
As the hum of urban development crashes in, how can we gather memories before they silently fade away?
I often go for long walks in the heartlands, where my camera becomes a silent witness to a vanishing world. Each neighbourhood allows me to archive her memories and study the scars and lines of history all over.
A HAVEN OF MEMORIES
For 22 years, Block 894 was home. Even after moving out, a part of me remained tethered to its familiar streets and embrace. Memories lingered persistently, weaving through the corridors of my mind.
So after hours of scanning old photos and penning down memories, this love homage to 894 was born. I took many walks around the old neighbourhood to take new photos, but also to let my mind trace all the little but significant details of my childhood.
This was a personal project, laying years of light on paper. Throughout the 40 pages, I hope to capture bits of my childhood estate with fond memories.
